A total of 306 low-income families are living in brick-built houses driving out their long-lasting living life in thatched or mud-house as they got community housing in the city.
They had moved to their new houses, which they constructed with support from Community Housing Development Fund (CHDF) with supervision of their respective Community Development Committee (CDC) initiated by Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC).
Earlier, each of the beneficiaries having land but not house were given loan worth Taka two lakh for the house building purposes.
City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton revealed this while visiting some of the newly built houses at different areas of the city Sunday saying the city corporation.
