Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 30,000 yaba tablets from Naf river in Teknaf upazila here.
Sources said BDR Jawans, led by acting commander of 42 Border Guard Battalion Mohammad Ajharul Alam, seized 30,000 yaba tablets conducting raid at Leda Salt Ground in the upazila early Monday.
Sensing presence of the BGB men, the smugglers managed to flee the scene.
Ajharul Alam said the seized yaba pills are worth about Tk 90,00000 and will be destroyed in front of high officials of BGB.
No one was arrested in this connection.
