State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said the government will provide training to 30,000 women to create a pool of women entrepreneurs.
“They will be given training under Women and ICT Frontier Initiative (WIFI) to promote women entrepreneurship,” he told a function at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium, an official release said.
Palak said, “The government has provided freelancing training to more than 20,000 women at the union levels, the lowest tier of our local government. We are also providing advanced level training programme for womenfolk at the upazila and district levels.”
“We are taking various initiatives for advancement of womenfolk to foster development process in the country,” he added.
