Dhaka North City Corporation in a drive evicted about 300 illegal establishments from footpaths at Khilkhet in the city on Monday.
The structures were built on about 2 km areas occupying footpaths, said a press release.
The mobile court, led by executive magistrate of DNCC Md. Sazid Anwar, also fined two restaurants Tk 80,000 each for keeping stale food and selling those in an unhygienic environment.
