A total of 1,850 journalists were killed across the world including 30 in Bangladesh by different quarters since 1992. Journalists are now passing risky time for which need their personal safety training.
The information was revealed at a five-day training course on safety for journalists. The training ended at Banchte Shekha Auditorium on Thursday.
News Network arranged the training being economically supported by European Union. A total 25 journalists took part the training.
Shahiduzzaman, editor, News Network and Mamun Abdul Kaioum, assistant professor, department of mass communication and journalism conducted the training in presence of Farazi Ahmed Syeed Bulbul, coordinator, News Network and Muslima Akhter Mow, official of News Network.
