At least 30 people were injured, including 26 with bullets, in a clash between two groups of villagers over establishing supremacy at Berabari village in Singra upazila Friday morning.
Police said, Saiful-Reza group of Berabari village had been at loggerheads with Amjad Mollah group of the same village over establishing supremacy in the area.
As a sequel to the previous enmity, supporters of Saiful-Reza group equipped with arms entered Mollah Para,
controlled by Amjad Mollah, and opened fire on Amjad’s supporters indiscriminately, triggering a fierce clash between the two groups, leaving 30 people injured.
On information, police from Singra and district headquarter rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Later, police arrested two people along with rifle from the area.
