Rajshahi Correspondent : At least 30 people were injured in a clash between the two groups of ruling Awami League (AL) in Joynagar Union of Durgapur Upazila of Rajshahi on Saturday.Police and witnesses said the supporters of former vice president of Rajshahi AL, Abdul Mazid, locked in a clash with the supporters of local MP, Kazi Abdul Wadud, during the meeting for selecting UP candidate at the Rasulpur High School ground in the afternoon, leaving 30 injured.The vehicles of MP Wadud, and former upazila chairman, Nazrul Islam, was vandalised during the incident.Later, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.The injured were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital and Durgapur Upazila Health Complex.
