At least 30 thousand subscribers of the mobile operator Citycell have been deprived of any service for last one month when the operator’s employees went on hiding leaving the customer care service centres in Jhenaidah closed.
As a result the subscribers are even not in a position to avail the email and other services.
Some of the Citycell subscribers said, the network of the operator failed to provide services immediate after the hailstorm swept over the district three weeks back. Since then all types of communications of the operators was suspended.
The customer care officer, widely known as Territory Executive (TE) in Jhenaidah was assuring the subscribers that the service would be reinstead within a day or two. But the service was not resumed in last three weeks.
Taznur Rahman, a journalist of a Bengali daily newspaper said, he was cheated as the people of the operators went in hiding. When tried to contact the TE in Jhenaidah Bulbul Ahmed, his cellular phone 01199727611 was switched off after repeated attempt.
The same situation happened when the regional Sales Manager of the operator in Khulna Tuhin Ahmed. His cellular phone 01199800470 was also switched off till Saturday night.
When contacted, the dealer of the mobile operator CItycell in Jhenaidah Shahidul Islam Mithu admitted the fact. He said, he was in trouble as the company men went on hiding without any notice.
