Police recovered four bodies, including three women in Dhaka city and Savar thana on Thursday and Friday respectively
Quoting the locals, Savar Model Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostofa Kamal said that a team of
law enforcers recovered the body of a young woman from within an abandoned suitcase at Banktown area on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Savar in Dhaka district on Friday morning. The deceased could not be identified immediately.
“The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy. We suspect that she might have been killed somewhere else,” the OC said
A case has been lodged with the police station in this connection, he said. Meanwhile, quoting the victim’s relatives, Rupnagar Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Masud Parvez said that a team of law enforcers recovered a hanging body of a construction worker from the city’s Rupnagar area around 9:00am. The deceased has been identified as Ziaul alias Rubel, 20, son of Azizul Haque, hailing from Chapai Nawabganj district.
The body has been sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy, the police official said. On the other hand, Lalbagh Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Amzad Hossain said that a team of police recovered a hanging body of a female student from the sixth floor of a seven-storied Madrasa building on Thursday evening. The deseased has been identified as Sumaya Akhter, 11, daughter of Mobaraq Ali, resident of the city’s Elephant Road area. She was the student of Halima Sadia Mohila Madrasa at Lalbagh. Kafrul Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Quayum said that police recovered a decomposed body of a woman in the city’s Senpara area on Thursday. The identity of the body could not be known immediately. The body has been sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
