Three Bangladeshi women returned home through Benapole check post on Monday night after serving two years’ jail in an Indian prison.
The returnees are Jannatul Ferdous,19, daughter of Haider Ali of Jessore, Anwara Begum,20, daughter of Nausher Sheikh of Khulna, and Parvin Akter,18, daughter of Yusuf Ali of Laxmipur district.
Indian immigration police handed over them to Bangladeshi immigration police around 8:00pm, said Aslam Khan, officer-in-charge of Benapole immigration police.
A team of Indian police had arrested the trio two years back from Kolkata railway station area for entering India illegally.
Afterwards, they were sent to Kolkata Central Jail.
