Atleast three vehicles were set on fire at Dairakandi, Kuliarchar and Karimganj upazila town in the district by the BNP-led 20- party alliance blockaders on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday night two trucks were torched by miscreants at Dairakandi in Kuliarchar upaizla.
On Saturday night, one private microbus was torched by Jamaat-Shibir workers.
Local people and police in a joint drive caught red-handed two Jubo Dal leaders with petrol bombs, crude bomb making materials, stone and one motor cycle at Gagaria area under Bajitpur upazila on Friday mid night.
The arrestees were identified as Bajitpur Upazila Jubo Dal President Monir Hossain (30) and son of late Majlish Miah and Chhatra Dal leader Md. Jasim (25).
Additional Police Super Syed Abu Sayem said that they were involved anti-state activities .
A case was field in this connection with Bajitpur Thana.
