At least three unnatural deaths were recorded in separate districts across the country on Wednesday.
In Rajshahi, a youth was slaughtered to death by some unknown miscreants at Bagmara upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kamruzzaman, 35, son of Chan Mia of Ambaria
village of the upazila, our RU Correspondent said. Officer in-charge of Bagmara Police Station Ataur Rahman said that locals spotted the floating body from the Bilsheti marsh in Borobihanali union and informed police who recovered the body. The deceased was a local money lender. He might have been killed over previous enmity.
The actual motive behind the death of the deceased could not be known yet. Police are trying to explore it, the OC also said.
In Gaibandha, Police recovered the throat-slit body of a newly married man from in front of his in-laws’ house in Palashbari upazila of the district early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Monirul Islam, 25, son of one Asadul Islam, a resident of Kashiabari village in the upazila, said Palashbari Police Station Officer in-Charge (OC) Hifzur Alam.
The OC said locals saw the slaughtered body in front of Monirul’s in-laws’ house at Uttarjhapor village around 2:00am and informed police, and they recovered the body.
Neighboures of the family told the police that Monirul came to his in-laws’ house.
OC, however, thinks that there might have extra marital fact behind the killing.
We detained wife and mother-in-law of the deceased for questioning about the incident, OC added.
In Noakhali, Police recovered the hanging body of a housewife from Subarnachar upazila of the district on Wednesday.
Deceased was identified as Sajeda Akther Sathi, 25, Wife of Siraj Mawla, was a resident of Charmajid village in the upazila.
Family members of Shathi saw her body hanging inside the house at noon and informed police.
Shahed Uddin, officer-in-charge of Charjabbar Police Station, said police recovered the body and sent it to Noakhali General Hospital.
Family members claimed Sathi committed suicide by hanging herself.
