Sylhet Districts Courts jailed 3 people unto death in the murder case of Khaleduzzaman Khaled on Tuesday.
At the same time, they have been fined 50 thousand taka. More than one year imprisonment for non-payment of that fine .
District and Sessions Judge Monir Ahmed awarded that punishment to Humaun Kabir (26),Fahim Ahmed (26),Mukit Al Mahmood (23) for killing Khaled after kidnapping .
Khaled Ahmad, son of Sallus Miah of Nimadal village under Hetimganj union of the Golapganj upazila, also a student of the private-run Metropolitan University, went to the Karim Ullah Market in the city’s Bandarbazar on 21st july 2014 to sell a laptop.
A group of miscreants allegedly led by one Kabir Ahmad kidnapped Khaled and demanded Tk 12 lakh to his family as ransom to release him, the police and the Kahled’s family said. The body of Khaled was recovered from a river at Fenchuganj upazila on 25th july, 4 days after he was kidnapped.
