3-tier security measures for port city during Eid

A three-tier security measures has been taken in the Port city and its adjacent areas for successful celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of the Muslims.
According to the sources of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) and district Police, additional security measures will be taken from the preceding day of Eid and will continue for the next three days.
Shafiqul Islam, Commissioner of CMP, told the newsmen that all the police stations and camps have already been given instructions to ensure extra security measures at all points of celebration including the Eid congregations.
Besides, additional forces have been deployed and detective vigilance was intensified at all the busiest market points and shopping malls.
All the entry points of the city like Shah Amanat Bridge, City Gate and Oxygen area were brought under tight security measures. Necessary instructions were also given to search the suspicious persons at any points during the celebration period.
“We will watch the movement of boarders of the residential hotels before and after Eid,” police said.
On the other hand, RAB-7 has taken all-out security measures to make the festival a total success.
Meanwhile, Chittagong Central Eid Jamaat Committee (CCEJC), Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) and all other concerned organisations have chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, in the city with due religious fervor and enthusiasm.
All kinds of preparations in the port city under the auspices of Chittagong district administration, Metropolitan Police, and other religious organizations have been completed for peaceful celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
CCEJC has completed preparations to hold a total of 98 Eid congregations at different venues in the city while CCC completed 146 congregations structure on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at the traditional and temporary venues including its 41 wards under the supervision of respective ward councilors.
