A mobile court has sentenced three teachers to six months in jail for providing written answers to SSC candidates in Chunarughat, Habiganj.
Executive Magistrate Masud Rana issued the sentence to the district administrator’s office on Sunday.
The convicted teachers are – teacher and center secretary of Ponchhas High School and College, Chunarughat. Nasir Uddin, teacher Kamal Uddin and Dipan Chandra Pal.
The executive magistrate of the mobile court, Masud Rana, said that during the English 2nd paper of the SSC exam on Sunday, the 3 teachers of the Ponchhas high school and college in Chunarughat district provided written answers to the students.Three teachers were arrested in the eyes of the concerned, including Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Satyajit Roy Das.The court sentenced each to six months in prison after they were brought to the office of the district administrator of the city of Habiganj at night. 127 written answer papers were seized.
District Administrator Mo.Kamrul Hassan said that no teacher or student will be tolerated in a dishonest way in the examination center.Strict action will be taken against anyone who practices dishonesty.
