3 stabbed to death in dists

At least three persons, including a baul singer, were hacked to death in the capital, Narayanganj and Barisal districts on Monday.
The victims are: Islam Bhutto, 45, inhabitant of Pallabi in city, Faysal Ahmed Tutul 30, resident of Fatullah in Narayanganj and Sheikh Mohammad Garibullah, 45, inhabitant of Bakerganj of Barisal, police said. In the capital, a man was hacked to death by miscreants on his bedroom at Kalshi Millat Camp in city’s Pallabi area early in the morning. The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam Bhutto.
Pallabi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Dadan Fakir said that miscreants entered the house when the victim’s wife Sabina Yasmin went to washroom at dawn and hacked Bhutto, leaving him dead on the spot.
Police detained Sabina Yasmin for interrogation in this connection, the Police official said.
A case was filed with the Pallabi police station regarding the matter, he said.
The body has been handed over to the relatives of the victim after autopsy at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
In Narayanganj, a gang of miscreants stabbed a baul singer to death in Fatullah in the small hours of Monday. The deceased has been identified as Faysal Ahmed Tutul, inhabitant of Nayamati of Pagla in Fatullah.
Fatullah Model Police Station SI Swapan Kumar Das said that a gang of miscreants stabbed Tutul on his head and other parts of his body during his return to home at around 1:00am. Later, they left him on the roadside.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue, the police official said.
Police are investigating the incident, the police official said.
In Barisal, a Union Parishad (UP) Member was hacked to death at his residence in Uttampur village in Bakerganj upazila in the afternoon. The victim has been identified as Sheikh Mohammad Garibullah, 45, Member of Ward No 1 of Dudhal Union Parishad.
Bakerganj Police Station OC Anwar Hossain said that a gang of miscreants hacked to death in his residence in the afternoon.
“Police recovered the body from the house following information and sent it to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital morgue for an autopsy,” the police official said.
Police also recovered eight sharp swords from the spot, the OC said.
A case was filed in this connection, he said.
