Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested three gold smugglers along with 3.5 kgs (16 pieces) Gold bar in a separate drive in Amrakhali, Daulotpur and Ghiba Bordering area of Benapole Port police station on yesterday noon while smuggling to india. The arrestee were identified as Rabiul Islam 36, son of Monir Uddin of RN Road area of Jessore, Dilip Kumar,30, son of late Gahor Kumar of Ghiba village and Minara Khatun, 25, wife of Ramzan Ali, a local resident of Barachara village. They were smuggling gold to India for money for a long time, the BGB said.
49 BGB deputy commanding officer Major Nazrul Islam said that from a reliable source three BGB patrols team conducted a drive in Amrakhali area and arrested Rabiul Islam along with 8 Pics (785 grams) gold bar , Dilip Kumer arrested with 2 pics (2 Kgs) gold bar from Ghiba border and Monira Khatun held with 6 Pics ( 700 grams) gold bar from Daulatpur border.
