City detective police of CMP rounded up three activists of Jamaat shibir from secret meeting in Panchalaish thana area in city yesterday early dawn.
Law enforcers recovered huge numbers of jihadi books from their possession. The shibirmen were detained from a rental quarter of Haider Building in Panchalaish area while undergoing secret meeting sources said.
These detained shibir activists identified as Jahangir Mahmud(32) son of Nazimuddin of Chokoria thana, Md. Iqbal(27) son of Shafiul Azam of Fatikchari and Humayun Kabir(20) son of Md. Shahjahan of Lohagara thana ,Chittagong . DB sources said acting on secret tip off, forces conducted rain in the house and managed to apprehend them. Law enforcing agency sources said these detained activists were involved with the vandalism of vehicles during Gayebana Janaza of Motiur Rahman Nizami at parade ground in city recently.
