Chittagong district police detained three Shibir activists with 130 handmade bombs, a huge arms and explosives from Nunachara hilly area at Sitakunda Upazila of the district early yesterday .
Naimul Hasan, additional superintendent of police (special branch) of Chittagong district said the law enforcers conducted an overnight raid at a Jamaat-e-Islami hideout in Nunachhara hill and made the recovery.
Police raided the spot on information given by three Shibir activists arrested Saturday from Sitakunda Upazila of the district, he added.
Police said they had found 70 petrol bombs, 50 crude bombs, 10 sharp local weapons, two firearms and 20 rounds bullets from the hideout around 3.30am early today.
The identities of the detainees and detail of the drive could not be known immediately.
