Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three suspected saboteurs and recovered 18 crude bombs from their possessions in Kalabagan area in the city Sunday night.
The arrestees were identified as Md Abdul Qadir, 31, Md Nur Islam, 30, and Md Monir Hossain, 29.
Sources at the RAB headquarters said a team of RAB-2 caught Qadir red handed when he along with two others were throwing crude bombs near Gastro liver hospital at Panthapath at about 7:30 pm.
According to Qadir’s statement, a operational team of RAB-2 conducted drive in Kalabagan area to arrest his accomplices and
arrested Nur Islam and Monir Hossain from in front of Uttara Bank Kalabagan branch at about 11:30 pm.
Later, the elite force members recovered 18 crude bombs conducting raids on the houses of Nur and Monir on the same night.
