UNB, Meherpur :
Three suspected robbers were killed in a gunfight with police at Motmura village in Gangni upazila early Tuesday.
The deceased could not be identified immediately. Police said on secret information, a team of police
conducted the drive near a brick field at the village early fin the morning.
Sensing the presence of police, the robbers opened fire at them, prompting a retaliation that triggered a gunfight, leaving the trio dead on the spot.
Six police personnel were also injured in the incident. Police also recovered one pistol, one LG shooter gun, two rounds of bullets, two machetes and two hand bombs from the spot.
