Police arrested three robbers along with sharp weapons while taking preparation for committing robbery at Kolpoloakh residential area under Bakalia Thana early on Wednesday.
The arrestees were identified as Jamal Hossain, 20, son of late Lokman, hailed from Bakalia, M Babul, 26, son of Siddiq Ahmad, and M Mohsin, 18, son of Jalil Miah, both hailed from Comilla.
Officer-in-Charge of Bakalia Police Station said acting on a tip off, a team of Bakalia police conducted a drive and arrested the trio with a Ramda and three iron rods while taking preparation for committing robbery in the area.
In preliminary interrogation, they confessed that they were taking preparation of robbery at one Rashid’s house.
