Two of the four victims, who suffered burn injuries in a fire at a rented house in city’s Bandortila area on Thursday, died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Monday night and Tuesday noon.
The deceased were readymade garments (RMG) workers– Kohinur Akter, 19, hailed from Lama upazila of Bandarban district and Nargis Akter, 20, hailed from Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
Nargis suffered 50 percent while Kohinur suffered 30 percent burn injuries, said Prof Dr M Saifuddin Khaled, surgeon at the CMCH burn unit.
Earlier, Nargis’s brother Mohammad Nayon, 17, who was also injured in the same accident, succumbed to his injures at the burn unit of CMCH on Sunday night while another victim Salma Akter, 21, is undergoing treatment at the hospital, the surgeon added.
The three RMG workers received burn injuries early Thursday at city’s Bandartila area under CEPZ thana.
