A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed three people on one-day remand each in a case lodged over assaulting two journalists of private TV channel News24.
The remanded accused: are Sabbir, Jonny and Golam Mostafa.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ziaur Rahman passed the order as police produced the trio before the court and pleaded to place them on seven-day remand.
Meanwhile, another accused in the case, Mehedi Hasan Noyon gave confessional statement before court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Shikder.
Police arrested the four in separate drives last night from different parts of old Dhaka.
Miscreants swooped on the News24 reporter Fakhrul Islam and cameraman Sheikh Jalal and vandalised their car while they were collecting news on a drive against the misuse of bond facilities by the customs department in Nayabazar area of Old Dhaka on Tuesday.
