Three people including a child were killed and four others injured when a bus rammed an autorickshaw in the Hatibandha area of ??Mahasthan in Shibganj Upazila in Bogura on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Ashraf of the Jumarbari area of ??Gaibandha, his wife Parul and their one-and-a-half-month-old granddaughter.
Station officer of Shibganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Benazir said a Rangpur-bound bus of Ahsan Paribahan crushed a Bogura-bound autorickshaw at Hatibandha on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in the Mahasthangarh area of ??Shibganj. Ashraf and his wife Parul were killed on the spot while their one-and-a-half-month-old granddaughter died on the way to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
The locals rescued the injured and sent them to Bogura Medical College Hospital for treatment, he added.
