A district court has sentenced life term imprisonment to a woman, her son and daughter-in-law for killing a youth in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia.
Judge Arup Kumar Goshwami of Kushtia District and Sessions Judge’s court handed down the verdict to the convicts on Thursday noon (Nov 29).
The convicts are- Marjina Khatun, 70, wife of one (Late) Nagar Mistri of Hisnapara area of Bheramara upazila, their son Abdul Mannan, 52 and his wife Merina Khatun, 40.
According to court sources, the convicts beaten injured one youth Khairul following a dispute on August 24 in 2013. Khairul died on way to hospital. Later victim’s elder brother Amirul Islam filed a murder case with Bheramara police station. After conducting investigation, police filed charge-sheet in court on January 17 in 2015.
