Three members of a family received burn injuries in a fire that broke out due to blast of the gas pipeline at a house in the city’s Tipu Sultan Road area under Wari Police Station in the small hours of Friday.
The victims are: Alamgir Hossain, 55, his wife Hosne Ara Begum, 40 and their daughter Sharmin, 21 said Mozammel Hoque, In-Charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost.
They were rushed to the burn unit of DMCH around 12:30 a.m. Alamgir’s condition stated to be critical as he sustained 90 percent burnt.
One of relatives of the victims said, the gas pipeline in their kitchen explosion suddenly at midnight when the family members were asleep.
