Police, in a drive, arrested three women of Myanmar with yaba tablets from Teknaf Upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.
The arrestees are: Rashida Begum, 28, wife of late Md Alam, Rasheda Begum, 30, wife of late Abul Foyez, and Mamtaz Begum, 40, wife of late Nazir Ahmed of Mongdu area in Myanmar.
Police said on secret information a police team led by Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir of Teknaf Model Police Station raided the Sabrang Hariakhali area in the upazila on Wednesday at 10:30am and arrested the three along with 2,785 pieces of yaba tablets worth more than Tk 8 lakh.
