Three people have been murdered in separate incidents in Khulna and Thakurgaon districts. In Khulna, a college student was found dead at the staff quarters of Public Works Department at Noyra Nurnagar of the city on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Emdadul Haque Shipon, 24, a Pathology Department final year student of Khan Jahan Ali Science and Technology College and son of Moktadir Hossain of Nischintapur village in Sadar upazila of Magura district.
Police said, Emdadul used to live with his maternal uncle Abu Bakar, a deputy assistant engineer of the Public Works Department at the staff quarters and study there.
On Thursday Abu Bakar along with his family members went to their village home leaving Emdadul alone at the house. Al Amin, a peon of the office, spotted the body of Emdadul lying in a pool of blood when he went there to call the college student on Sunday morning.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
In another incident in the district, a man was stabbed to death by some miscreants at a paddy field at Silimpur in Dighalia upazila early Sunday.
