3 more youths of Ashuganj missing for 3 months

bdnews24.com :Three youths from Brahmanbarhia’s Ashuganj Upazila have gone missing for nearly three months, police say.They are Ratan Chandra Sarkar, 35, of Ashuganj Union’s Jatrapur village, Fazle Rabbi, 24, of Sharifpur Union’s Kandapara and Md Mohiuddin, 24, of Lalpur Union’s Noapara village.Ratan went missing on April 25, Rabbi on Apr 14 and Mohiuddin on April 29, Ashuganj police OC Md Selim Uddin said. He said families of the three had lodged general diaries (GD) on Apr 26, Apr 16 and May 25, respectively, over their disappearances. OC Selim told bdnews24.com that they were looking for the trio.The government has started gathering information on youths who have been reported missing for quite some time. Recent findings suggested that such youths tend to join militant groups after running away from home.The five gunmen who attacked a cafe in Dhaka on July 1 and killed 20 hostages had been missing from home for several months, according to their families.One of the Sholakia attackers who was shot dead by police during the June 7 attack had also been missing for past four months. Security agencies have recently revealed the names of 10 other youths who have gone missing. Apart from the list of 10, fresh information is reaching security agencies about other similarly missing youths across Bangladesh.
