Kishoreganj triple murder: 3 more remanded; key accused confesses to crime

A Kishoreganj court on Sunday placed three more people on a 3-day remand in a case field for killing three members of a family at Jamshite village in Katiadi upazila on Thursday night.
The court granted the remand after police produced them before the court seeking 10-day remand.
Asad Mia, 55, his wife, Parvin 45 and their eight-year-old son Lion were found buried in their backyard.
The remanded persons are deceased Asad Mia’s mother Kewa Khatun, sister Nazma Begum and niece Al-Amin.
Earlier on Saturday, key accused Deen Islam gave confessional statement to senior judge Abdun Nur of Kishoreganj Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
According to police, Deen Islam confessed that he alone killed his elder brother Asad Mia, brother’s wife Parvin and their son eight-year-old Lion on Wednesday (October 28) night. Then, he buried them behind their house near bamboo bush.
