Coronavirus outbreak: 3 more die, 58 test positive in 24hrs

Three more died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said on Saturday.
Besides, 58 people tested positive during the same period, raising the number of infected patients to 482.
The death toll now stands at 30, the minister said.
“A total of 954 samples were tested in the last 24 hours,” the minister said in a press briefing through video call.
Zahid Maleque advised the people to stay home till April 25 to save themselves and the others against coronavirus infections.
Meanwhile, Professor Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Director, Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said in the very same briefing that three more Covid-19 infected persons recovered and were released from hospitals in the last 24 hours marking the recovered peoples’ number 36.
The released people include two males and one female, she said.
The number of recovered cases increased for the first time since last Sunday.
Dr. Sabrina said that the three deceased were one from Dhaka and two beyond the capital. They were 38, 55 and 74 yeas, Dr Meerjady said.
Of the total number of infected patients, 70 percent are males and 52 percent are from Dhaka city, she said.
Twenty-two percent, the highest percentage of them, belong to the 31-40 age group, nineteen percent belong to 21-30 group and another 19 percent are between 41-50 years, she added.
She said, of the newly infected, 14 are from Dhaka city and eight are from Narayanganj.
