Three people died from Covid-19 while 549 more detected as coronavirus positive in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Wednesday.
“With the new cases, the death toll reached 155 and the total infections are now stand at 6,462, “ said Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration) of DGHS during regular press briefing in Dhaka.
Wednesday’s detected cases is the highest number of infections in a day so far in the country.
Dr. Sultana said that total of 4,332 people were tested across the country since Tuesday, which is 13.64 percent more than the previous day.
Besides, eight more Covid-19 patients recovered during the period.
With the new recovery the total139 patients have been recovered so far in the country.
Dr. Sultana also said that total 111 people across the country were put under isolation in the period.
