At least three people including two sisters went missing as a boat sank in the Buriganga river after being hit by a launch at Telghat area on Friday evening.
The identities of the missing could not be known immediately.
The boat carrying three people including two girls-aged around 4 and 16 years-sank in the mid-river after a launch hit it around 6 pm, said Md Station Shahjahan, officer-in-charge of Dakkhin Keraniganj Police Station.
