UNB, Dinajpur :
Police arrested three suspected militants from Rannagar area of the district town early Friday.
The arrestees were Shahinur Islam, 22, son of Abdul Khalek of Danarhat village in Sadar upazila, Moniruzzaman, 30, son of Amzad Hossain of Dangulita village in Tala upazila and Asaduzzaman, 24, son of Makbul Hossain of Palashbari village in Chirirbandar upazila.
Hasanuzzaman Mollah, assistant superintendent of Dinajpur Sadar Circle, said a patrol team of police challenged the youths and
asked them to stop while they were passing the area riding on a motorcycle around 2 am. As they tried to flee, the team members arrested them with the help of local people.
Police also recovered 17 crude bombs, gun powder, Jihadi books and masks from their possession.
