3 metro rail services in Port City soon

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has taken initiatives for installing three metro rail track within the port city very shortly.
These proposed metro rail track viz. 26 kilometers long from Kalurghat to Shah Amanat International Airport, 13 kilomers long City gate to Airport and 14 kilometers long from Oxygen to AK Khan Bus stoppage .47 stoppage proposed within these 54 KM long metro rail track with distance of 700 meters of one to another stoppage. CCC sources said about 60 thousand passenger will avail these advantages of journey in a hour in these service.
 This information reveals from the reports of feasibility study on pre-qualification of the metro rail project so prepared by a consultant named Bastan Engineers and Consultants Ltd .
A meeting relates to this feasibility report was held at CCC Conference Hall . Dr. Sohrab Uddin of BUET, Dr. M. Azadur Rahman , Md. Mahbubul Alam alongwith other 25 high profile team members were present . Dy leader of the team Mahbubur Rahman presented the feasibility report file on multi media projections. City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin and the CDA Chairman Md Jahirul alam Dobash were present in it as chief guest and special guest respectively.
 Noted Engineer Ali Ashraf told that there is no difference of opinions about the metro rail project. Former Director of Chattogram Chamber Mahfuzul Hoque shah said Chattogram Port has taken challenge of constructing the Bay Terminal and the water logging is another challenge for city watchdogs. So we should think deeply for undertaking this mega costly project which a dream felt project for the port city.
He said we should think the future of Mirsarai Economic zone and this MRT project may be taken mulling for the next 100 years. He fu;ther said to save the port city, there is no alternatives of coordination of CCC and CDA.
The meeting also discussed the expansion of the proposed MRT up to Chattogram University. CUET vice chancellor Prof. Rafiqul Alam told that the areas of the city will be increased to maximum extents by 2041 and before enacting project profile, this thing need to be considered. Chief Engineer of CCC Col Mohiuddin Ahmed said the connectivity of MRT to be expanded so as to implement easily.
Engineer of R&H department said the dwellers demand MRT and it a bravery initiatives of CCC. Chief Engineer of PDB Engr. Prabir Kumar Sen said lack of coordination of CCC and CDA, project development work not done in the port city. Chief planner of CCC Rezaul Karim said MRT will be constructed with the coordination of both watchdog agencies of the govt.
 Chief Engineer of CDA Engr. Hasan Bin Shams said flyover and MRT both essential for the commercial capital and need of coordination of CCC and CDA emphasized.
