Three matches of the Treat FIBA Asia U-18 Basketball tournament qualifying round were decided on the opening day (Wednesday) at Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium at Mirpur in the city.
On the opening day’s matches, India thrashed Bangladesh 90-31 points in day’s outing and crushed Sri Lanka by 127-52 points in day’s 3rd fixture. Nepal registered an exciting win over Sri Lanka 65-64 points. Bangladesh will be playing Nepal tonight late in the evening in day’s final fixture.
Earlier, Ashok Kumar Biswas, Secretary of National Sports Council, formally inaugurated the two-day meet as the chief guest.
