The Anti- corruption Commission (ACC) filed two separate cases against three Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED) including executive engineer for misappropriating Tk. 79,70,000 from the poor women’s savings.
Assistant Director of Anti -Corruption Commission (ACC) Md. Jalal Uddin filed the two cases with Pabna police station on Sunday night. The accused are former executive engineer of LGED, Pabna Md. Golam Kibria, now working in LGED, Borishal division, Md. Masud Rana, former account assistant of LGED, Pabna and Tazunnahar, former sociologist of RERMP project of LGED, Pabna. In one case the complainant claimed that the accused LGED officials misappropriated of Tk. 28,30,000 from the savings fund of RERMP project from March, 3, 2010 to January, 19, 2011.
