3 killed in separate incidents

Three people were killed in separate incidents in Patenga, Halishahar and Badurtala areas of the port city yesterday.
Of the three, two people were died after being electrocuted in Halishahar and Badurtala areas.
Zahirul Islam, in-charge of Chittagong Medical College Police camp, said Rabiul Karim, 21, of Badurtala area under Panchlaish Thana got electrocuted when came in contact with a live electric wire around 11am.
Later, he was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the physicians declared him dead on arrival. In another incident, Raju, 12, a boy came in contact with a snapped electric wire while playing on a field amid rain, leaving him injured. He was taken to CMCH where the doctors pronounced him dead.
Besides, Mohammad Alam, 32, a worker, was killed after being hit by a dredger machine while working at ghat no. 17 in Patenga area.
Students from human chain: Hundreds of students formed human chain protesting the decision of cutting 5 marks for attending the admission test for MBBS course for second time.
The students formed human chain on Jamal Khan road at Press Club premises on Sunday morning.
The agitated students demanded to withdraw the decision of cutting 5 marks for attending the admission test for MBBS course for second time termi-ng it as a conspiracy of a vested quarter in the government.
