Three people, including a girl, were killed in separate incidents in the city and district on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as rickshaw-puller Abdus Sobhan, 45, hailed from Chandanaish upazila, Shahida Akter, 08, hailed from DC Road area under Chawkbazar thana in the city and Mohammad Azgor, 20, hailed from Hathazari upazila in the district.
Sobhan received serious injury as unidentified miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately at Bagishahat under the upazila at 11 last night.
Locals brought the victim to BGC Trust Medical University, but the attending doctors declared him dead.
The girl Shahida died on the spot as a car ran over her in front of CSCR Hospital under Panchlaish thana at 7am today.
Locals recovered the bullet-riddled body of Azgor from Raozan Sadar Thana area at 11 last night.
The bodies were sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Three separate cases were filed with the respective police station in these connections.
