Chittagong Bureau :
Three persons were killed in separate incidents in Chittagong yesterday. Meanwhile two persons were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Kumra by-pass area under Sitakundo upazila of the district early yesterday. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Confirming the matter to media , Sergeant Jillur Rahman said, a Dhaka-bound pick-up van knocked a covered van in the area, leaving two killed on the spot.The bodies were taken to Thana while pick-up van drivers managed to flee the spot, he added.
Besides, one Rezaul Karim (65) was killed in train crush in Mirsarai area in Chittagong on night of Tuesday last. The accident was occurred at Bairairhat kutch bazaar area under Mirsarai upazila. Eye witnesses sources said the old man was crushed under the wheel of the Dhaka bound train while the victim was crossing the rail line . The victim died on the spot. Police sources said the body of the victim sent to Chittagong Medical college morgue for autopsy.
