UNB, Faridpur Three people were killed in lightning strike in Dekrerchar union of Sadar upazila on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Sujon Bepari, 28, Babu Khan, 50 and Ripon Molla, 27. Chairman of Dekrerchar union Mehedi Hasan Mintu said a thunderbolt struck the three when they were waiting to cross the Padma river at 3:30pm. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Masum Reza said each of the deceased’s family will get Tk 20,000 for their burial.
