Three people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a pickup van and a truck at MC Bazar on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Sripur upazila on Wednesday morning.
Identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
Officer-in-charge of Mawna Highway Police Station Hasibur Rahman said a pickup van was
going to Mymensingh from Dhaka in the morning.
When the van reached MC Bazar, the vehicle hit a truck from the backside as the driver lost his control over the steering around 6:30am, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the OC added.
