Three people were killed and two injured as a private car hit a roadside tree in Teknaf upazila here early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Mahbubur Alam Mabu, son Nur Alam of Jaipara in Teknaf, Md Ismail, 32, son of Abdul Jalil Julu of Achhar Bania village and Helal Uddin, 28, of Moulvipara village in Teknaf. The accident took place around 4 am when five friends were returning to Teknaf after visiting Cox’s Bazar sea beach, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured, said Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Model Police Station Md Main Uddin Khan. The injured were rushed to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
