Three persons, including a minor, were killed and eight others got critically injured when a bus collided with a leguna at Rupnagar of Mirpur in the city on Tuesday.
Two of the deceased are Hannan Hawladar, 22, the human hauler driver, and son of Siraj Hawladar of Mirpur, and Tawhid, 10, son of Mokter Hossain. The identity of the other could not be known instantly.
A bus of ‘Mayer Doa Paribahan’ collided with the leguna, a local human hauler, at Birulia Beribandh of Rupnagar, leaving 11 passengers injured around 8:30am, Sheikh Md Shah Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rupnagar Police Station told the media.
Four of the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the doctor declared three dead.
