Staff Reporter :Three kids suffered injuries in a crude bomb blast when they were playing with it taking it for a toy in the city’s Islambagh area under Lalbagh Police Station on Wednesday morning.The kids have been identified as Rifat, 4, son of Amzad Hossain, Sultana Akhter, 7, daughter of Liakat Ali, and Sadia, 10. All of them are residents of Islambagh, police said. Quoting the victims family, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital’s (DMCH) Police Outpost in-Charge Mozammel Haque said that Rifat, Sultana and Sadia found an object containing the crude bomb at Commissioner Goli near their houses around 9:00am. They started playing with it ant at one stage and the crude bombs blasted all on a sudden with a high sound, leaving the legs of Sultana, the two cheeks of Rifat and one hand of Sadia badly damaged.The police personnel said that the critically injured children had been admitted to the DMCH for treatment.
