Some unknown miscreants allegedly abducted three men from Ruma upazila in Bandarban District on Monday night.
The criminals have demanded Tk 10 lakh as ransom for their release from captive condition, our Bandarban correspondent reports quoting Nazrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ruma Police Station.
The victims are: Basu Karmakar, 32, Nayan Das, 28, and Md Mizan, 30, are locals, drivers in profession, the police official said.
The unknown criminals kidnapped them at gunpoint in Minjiri Mukh area when the victims were returning to Sadar upazila from remote Munnam Para area, the OC added.
The criminals demanded Tk 10 lakh as ransom yesterday morning, he said quoting one relative of the victims.
