Coastguards of the Western Zone (deployed at Mongla) recovered 3 fishermen and a mechanized boat from the deep forest in the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest on Monday, according to a report received here.
Lt. Commander M Mohiuddin Majumdar, an officer of the Coastguards of the Western Zone said , acting on a secret information a contingent of the raided Katlarkhal area in the Eastern Division of the forest and recovered them from there.
They are (1) Abdul Malek (32), son of one Abdul Hakim of village Ruhit under Patharghata Upazila in Barguna district, (2) Md. Al-Amin (27), son of one Mohammad Morol and (3) Md. Kalam, son of one Mohammad Anis of the same village. They were kidnapped from the forest by the jungle pirates belonging to Nayan Bahini, a gang of notorious jungle pirates in order to realize cash Taka as ransom.
