UNB, Khulna :Three madrasah teachers, picked up by some unknown people from separate places of the city on May 12, could not be traced till Thursday.Those missing people are Abdullah Al Saim Turja, Shoyeb Biswas and M Monirul Islam, teachers of Harintana Bismillahnagar Qawmi Madrasah and Orphanage in the city. As police could not trace the missing teachers in the last two weeks, their anxious family members at a press conference at Khulna Press Club on Thursday urged the authorities concerned to take steps to ensure their safe return. In a written statement, they alleged that teacher Turja was picked up by some unidentified people in a white microbus while he was returning home from the madrasah along with his colleague M Hafez Bin Ashraf on May 12.The abductors also snatched two mobile phone sets of Ashraf when he tried to call the madrasash principal to inform the incident. Later, they left the place along with Turja. Later, the victim’s father, Shahidul Islam, filed a case with Harintana Police Station. Besides, some unknown people, identifying themselves as members of Detective Branch (DB), picked up Monirul Islam, son of Masudur Rahman, from his CSD Colony residence in the city around 10 pm on the same day.
