The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested three suspected members of the banned outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Battala on the Solanga-Nimtali Road in Sirajganj district on Tuesday morning.
The detainees have been identified as Najibul Bashar alias Naji, Mamunur Rashid Mamun, Abdullah Bin Masud, son of Maksudur Rahman, from Alipur village of Ullapara Upazila in the district, RAB official said.
Major Safayet Ahmed Sumon, Company Commander of RAB-12, said that a team of the elite force raided in the area and arrested them.
The arrested persons were charge-sheeted as fugitive accused under an Anti-Terrorist Act, the RAB official said.
They are being interrogated in the custody, said Major Safayet.
